Welcome to the New World..er...Ward!
So we knew it was coming. A boundary change in the wards. We had been speculating for a while that the boundaries would change, and then two weeks ago we heard that we would have a joint meeting with both wards together. We have not had a boundary change in our wards since the original split about 17 years ago. Everyone was released at the same time by the Stake President in both wards and then new Bishoprics were called. Our Bishop was not a surprise to me. I could see the changes in him and the growth of his family in the last year and since I am a speculator I 'knew' and felt good about his call. His councillors are good young men with very young families. My prayers are with their families at this changing time. So new callings for all of us. The Bishop visited our house on Sunday night to speak to Dev and there was nothing for me. Hmmm. Later in the week though a member of the Bishopric came to visit M and me. New callings. We are excited. It is interesting that the calling I got was a call that I had joked about after church on Sunday (with the sister in the other ward that has the same calling). We are excited to serve in the new Bear Creek (read Crik) ward. We have a few new families that are now in our ward- good families. It will be great to serve with them and to watch our ward grow. Welcome to the new ward.
