voila...viola. adventures galore

So, new adventures around here include an upcoming move to the BIG city for M who will nanny for our besties daughter. We are excited for her and she is super excited for the adventures she will have with her cousins, friends and aunt (I had to say that as she might read this!) She has announced at work that she will be moving on and they are very sad. She is a hard worker and does a very good job. Everyone loves her. I know I do! That's all I can write about the 'move' right now without tears, but I do think it is a great step forward for my sweet girl! She will be an excellent nanny and the babies she will care for love her already!

H has made the move to a new register and is now playing the viola. Her teacher announced that another viola player would be great to have and she volunteered to learn it. Thankfully, the school loaned her an instrument for her to use. She has also finished her driving lessons and is getting ready to take her driving test. There are still a few tense moments for me as a passenger as we seem to veer to the right... however we look forward to when someone else can be the chauffeur .

C got his learner's permit this summer before we went away and he has been enjoying driving to seminary every day and then tooling around all over whenever he can convince us to let him drive. He takes his corners well and although he doesn't want to go on the busy streets yet (which is perfectly okay with me!) he shows great promise to be a responsible driver.

Why does everything a person is responsible for all have to happen on the same weekend? This weekend is Stake Conference. Dev and I are part of the team putting on the family activity Saturday afternoon. A Quest Test. I guess a little practice is a good thing! Sunday morning I am conducting the senior primary from throughout the Stake as they sing 4 prelude songs! I am not a conductor. I bob my head and move the pictures up and dowm and act goofy to entertain and encourage, but I do not swing my arm as most conductors do and I probably should. There are much better conductors than me... but there I will be Sunday morning at the front of the chapel standing in front of 60 children!
AND, I am coaching Triple Ball for my school. I think I have that covered for me but really?! Everything on the same weekend. Not funny!

But all of these things make for a great adventure! Might as well be busy in this life!

PS I'm glad to have my parents back in the neighbourhood! It is good to see them more often.
