i hope people will come!
I look forward to getting to know mom better and to visit with the guests.
i don't think women get together enough.
i remember as a child that on saturday mornings my mom would put the coffee pot on first thing and then people would just show up to visit. i don't think the visits were pre arranged but maybe they were? as a child i remember that they were casual and fun. the moms usually brought their kids and we got to play!
when my kids were little i had a 'party' once a month. tupperware, partylite, baby shower...
for two reasons:
1. it kept my house clean and
2. adult conversation!
those really were good times.
now that my kids are older i haven't had monthly 'parties'.
maybe friday will be the start of more frequent events at our house.
i think that'll be fun.
