A few years back I decided that we needed to do something
other that eat during our holiday break.
We started going sledding on the afternoon of Christmas Eve.
Some years have been more fun that others due to temperature,
whether friends can join us or not, and
the snow conditions.
This year only a couple of youth friends met us at the hill
and the weather outside was a bit frightful,
although not the worst we've had for our outing,
but we still had a fun time.
M stood up on her sled all the way down the hill.
No one else could do it!
The sledding never lasts for too long,
but fresh air and exercise are enjoyed
and there is usually some laughter involved.
So it was this year.
A fun highlight from this year was that a huge sheep dog, 'Oliver,'
came over to the hill from where he lives across the street
and walked right over to Dev and sat down on his feet!
So funny.
I hope this tradition continues.
