8 hours

I spent the day working in my new classroom.
I was cleaning and sorting. There is lots of stuff to clean and sort. Lots.

The teacher that retired gifted me many things. I am thankful, but it would have been easier to enter a completely empty classroom and add my stuff rather than sorting through what she and others did not want before making the room mine.

It was interesting to see what someone else held on to, and it gave me an appreciation for how much work she put into making and collecting material for the students over 14 years. It also made me want to not be a collector of such valuable treasures.

Today I kind of felt like I used to after cleaning at someone's house or helping with a messy move. I want to get rid of stuff... fast!

I am grateful for the kind custodians at my new favorite school who took many things out to the dumpster for me. Many things, many trips, many thanks!

I am also happy that my good husband got someone to let him into the school and he helped me move, sort and clean. I think he wanted me to leave much sooner than I did, but I was on a roll and had good help so my 3 hour plan somehow became an 8 hour day.

Happy first day of holidays!

Thanks you M for keeping everything going on the home front for me. You are an amazing young lady! xoxo
