So, it was Spring break, and did I need a break!
We went to visit H in the big city. We stayed in a nice hotel with nice big, comfy beds. H even stayed over one night with Dev, M and I. It was fun!
We went to a lot of thrift stores, WEM (we didn't buy a thing there!), the zoo, the institute (where H showed us around!) and we tried to go to the new Royal Alberta Museum...(closed at 5, so we got a 15 minute visit in, for free!)
We walked a lot and wandered around downtown in the rain, through the ice district and ended up checking out Rogers Place on an Oilers game night. Decided not to spend the money to go to the game (ended up the score was a win 7-4), but happily took the beef jerky snack being given out in the lobby. We ate at Brewsters and got $3 discount wooden coins every time the Oil scored, so big score for H who will return to use the rest of the coins another time. Some browsing around the fancy grocery store in the brewery district and home to bed!
We spent the last few days of the break at home chopping ice, moving the quickly melting snow and catching up on school work. My classroom looks cleaner... still have a lot of paperwork to file away...yikes!
Back to school tomorrow! I have missed my kiddos and look forward to seeing them. Lots to teach and learn going forward. Parent Teacher Interviews are so late this year for term 2, next week! Will be good to discuss each child's growth with parents. It was a nice break, but I could always use a few more days... The countdown to Easter weekend is on.
P.S. Looking forward to General Conference next weekend.
So many changes have been happening. I wonder what the Prophet will reveal for us this conference?
