lake long weekend 2010

flowers in bloom.
planting rows of seeds in dry soil.

the rains came and to save the plants we had to cover them.
note the footprints full of water.
I got stuck (not good for a girls self esteem to have to pull your foot out!)

under cover to protect from inclement (read freezing) weather.

the rain made for some nice close up shots of nature.
(I'm trying to learn how to use the manual settings on my camera)

but the weather was not good for a vacation so...

we took a day trip to West Edmonton Mall to keep warm
(somehow I deleted the picture of H and C in T&T market)

we came back to find Papa bailing out the Titanic.

finally the rain stopped and the boys could ride!

C. crashed after a jump and hit this tree. thankfully he was okay and the tree... well, it will survive.
some jump time.

a quick drive around the lake to Rundle's mission. I took pictures for grade 4 Social studies.

a beautiful painted sky for one of our last nights.

signs of spring were everywhere. look at the goslings. picture by C.

it even dried out enough for H. to mow the grass under Papa's watchful eye and pointing finger.

being checked out by Harden's cows.

another great lake weekend. memorable for so many reasons.
sorry we couldn't get the potatoes planted, Papa and grandma.
thank you for everything again!
