Three nights in the last two weeks I have watched my amazing children share their talents and enjoyed beautiful music in the college theatre. It is amazing how much talent is in them. They are blessed with abilities and talents given to them by Heavenly Father and I am grateful they are choosing to let them shine.
The last few weeks have been a hard go for C as his orchestra conductor went on Maternity leave and the new teacher does not have a complete command on all things yet. Even though I know that it is a challenge to come into a classroom mid year I could not understand why C was so frustrated with the kids in the group ... until last night. Now I know.
There was one boy ... imagine if you will ... mohawk ... grubby t-shirt... feet up on his chair... talking in a loud voice... pulling faces to the imaginary camera... peace sign to the adjudicator... I'm sure you have the idea.. oh wait did I mention?! ... swinging his bow around and almost poking C in the eye, his cello almost crashing into C's... It was quite a performance to precede the actual performance! (His mother must be so proud!)
Now I get it, C!
