We traveled from Grande Prairie to Great Falls on Wednesday. The kids were amazing travelers. Thursday we stopped to see the Idaho Falls Temple for a break and spent a few minutes with a kind senior missionary couple. He was a retired principal and was taking the time to really share his spirit with us. He had something special to say to each of the kids and encouraged us to stay and check everything out. Of course we wanted to, but knew how far we still had to travel and that we were going to see the Salt Lake Temple! So a few pictures (this one is blurry!)and off we went into a raging pelleting-snow snowstorm.
We arrived in Salt Lake just before dark and even though we did not have a hotel arranged (because we weren't sure we would get there on Thursday) we were able to get a room in our hotel. The Downtown Marriott-one block from Temple Square.
We walked around Temple Square before the buildings closed and took some beautiful pictures and saw amazing things.
I love my own Stripling Warriors.
Loved this wall in the basement of the North Visitors Center.
Each Christus was awe inspiring.
The Sundaes from the trip-tease were after our dinner at JB's. Yum!
We were grateful to have a safe comfortable place to sleep after the first two days of our adventure!
Already so happy to be in Utah and feeling the Spirit. Happy to be together.
Isn't this a cool shot of the kids at the Temple?!
