Friday morning we drove to Provo to see BYU, the MTC and the Provo Temple. We knew Grandma and Grandpa were heading up to Provo and arranged to meet them at the Provo Temple. We waited in the parking lot out in the open while we waited for them and we knew they should be close. Finally I called them and they said they had just parked their van and were walking up to the Temple. I looked and they were across this open field. The girls ran. They gave the biggest running hugs. I thought they were going to knock my parents over! Such a nice reunion after 3 months.

We went up to take some pictures in front of the Temple and talked and told stories about our trip and their trip and holiday. We were also waiting for the Gilsons who were on their way to meet us. We had just gone to sit in the van to get out of the wind when they arrived. Again we walked up to the front of the Temple and my dad took pictures with Chaunas new 'real' camera. Funny to see him taking pictures!

We went across the road to the MTC to take pictures of our future missionaries at the MTC sign. A BYU Police officer stopped us to see what we were doing, and after explaining who we were, what we were doing there and where we came from, they let us in the front doors of the main building to have a look 'since we had come so far'. Then we took pictures at the sign and off we went to BYU. We drove around the parking lots a bit looking for a spot (well actually 2 because Gilsons were with us. Mom and dad were riding with us) We ended up parking and walking quite a way to get to the bookstore. Spent some time picking out Cougar paraphenalia and looking around before heading for lunch and back into SLC.

We stopped for lunch at a mall somewhere in Provo. Dad bought thegirls these 'milkshakes' that ended up being the biggest malts I have ever seen. Real ice cream and huge. H's milkshake stood up 2 cm abovve the top of her cup. They put the milkshake cup into a larger cup when they give it to you. They must know that melting can make quite a mess! Truly this is a food highlight for me and I only got to have a little off the top and then the rest that H could not eat. M ate her whole strawberry one. She said it was awesome too. Real strawberries.

We knew the Temple was open since it was Friday. The last session was at 8pm. I really wanted to go. We called Gilsons and said we were going for 6pm. They said they would try to get there. We left the kids with my parents who took them for dinner and then to swim in the pool so we could go.Thank you Mom and Dad. The kids had a nice dinner at Olive Garden.

I guess they all did some walking around Temple Square. The story goes that my Dad tried to talk his way into the Temple!... The kids made sure to touch the Temple and get the shot for me.

We had a nice time at the Temple and even got to have a short tour with a worker. We enjoyed a bite to eat again at JB's before the Gilsons (who made it to the temple!) got on the train to get back to their hotel. We left them and walked the block to our hotel commenting on how grateful we were to be able to stay so close to Temple Square so we could walk everywhere. We visited a little, but again sleep came easy after a busy day. The Temple session was the highlight of my day.
