monday in T.O.

Out on my own. I walked to the Royal Ontario Museum and took this picture of my reflection in the crystal triangles of the Royal Ontario Museum before going in to see the Terracotta Warriors. No photos allowed inside but Wow! It was an awesome display.

While I was in the museum I found a statue of Tom Tuttle!

This was a square on a quilt made by the Buxton Stitching community of Ontario.
Buxton was a settlement of former slaves and they met together to 'better the community'.
"They got together to share news, exchange recipes, and provide child rearing tips...generally offering all-in-all support for one another."
This reminds me of the relief society.
I love this quilt square.

Just as you ce me.

I thought I was going to see the dinosaurs in the ROM but ended up finding myself in a Caribiana art exhibit. This was my favourite piece.

This display of oil lamps reminded me of the story of the 10 virgins.
(Am I filling my own lamp?)

After Dev was done 'school' for the day, we rode the subway to the Hockey Hall of fame.
This is my favourite shot of Dev with the Stanley Cup.
I like the excitement on his face.

I am pointing to the last time the Montreal Canadiens won the Stanley Cup.
The year M was born. We have good memories of that year.

This is the ceiling above the Stanley Cup.
Magical.

Touching the Lucky Olympic Loonie!

It was a good day.
We walked back to our hotel-- we are crazy!
