update on lack of updates!

well, our adventure is almost over. I haven't been able to blog at the hotel for some reason. but here at the pearson international airport, on their free wi fi, I am. so we are waiting for our flight and have had a few hours... we were too efficient, I guess. The cab ride to the airport was, well let's put it this way- dev was feeling carsick. that's saying something.

it was like a scene out of a movie. quick turns, slammed brakes, cutting across three lanes on the 401, big trucks on all sides... no AC and 40 degrees on the humidex! my hair was in a whirlwind with the windows down and the cabbie took the most overland route he could find including a u turn and frequent checks of the GPS (while driving!) an interesting end to a great few days away. more about my daytime and our evening adventures in the big city when I can.

looking forward to getting back to the kids and to the family reunion on saturday and, like the kids, I am ready to get home to my own bed, bath and all the regular stuff (that you don't think you will miss when you are in the middle of it, but when you are away for a while realize that those routine things are part of a good, productive life.)

I have enjoyed my few days of being very unproductive!
