blessings of obedience

A while back, members of auxilliary presidencies from our Stake were invited to a big meeting in Edmonton with members of General Auxilliary Presidencies and Priesthood from SLC.

That group included me.

So, work was rearranged, carpool and sleeping arrangements were made and off we went.

It was a beautiful day.

There was good friends.

A cute baby came along for our entertainment.

3/4 of the way there the call came in.
This is what we heard in the van.

'You're kidding"
"Really"
"Are you joking around?"
"You're NOT kidding?"
"We'll let you know."

After making a quick call to double check the message of the 1st call--
(not that we doubted)-- and having it confirmed

it was decided that,
although the MEETING WAS CANCELLED! (connecting flights were missed in Denver)
we would continue on to the 'big city' because we were so close.

a great meal was indulged in, fun conversation was had, there was a sister visit, and then finally, after solving all of the problems of the world (or at least discussing them), it was lights out--way too late!

There will be blessings for our obedience.

I think the first blessing
was the great weather we had traveling today
when there was snow falling elsewhere in the province.
