stake 'free'dom

So, someone asked me recently if I kept a journal. She was shocked when I said no, not consistently. (So funny that she was shocked!)

I told her that I am good at writing 'today I got called as..." and then one or two years later the next entry says" today I was released as..." Nothing in between. Well, this is one of those entries.

About 5 years ago I was called as Stake Primary President.
Last Sunday I was released.

The timing is good as it is the eve of Stake Conference this weekend.

I was definitely ready to be released! I even told the Stake President "In case you are wondering, I feel like I am done with this calling. I am not feeling inspired any more." He got a funny smirk on his face and then said "Well, I won't keep you in suspense any longer... we would like to release you from your calling as Stake Primary President."

There you have it.

Freedom.

Oh, wait.
How silly of me. Of course I am not free free.
(it is rare in our Stake to only have one calling)

I still have a ward nursery calling.

That 'free' feeling was short lived.
