C has started to take Japanese lessons from a sweet foreign college student named Yuina.
She comes over to our house after school one day a week and she and C talk all things Japan.
It is fun to watch her learning English while she teaches him Japanese.
Today I made cookie dough so they could talk in the kitchen as they worked to made the 'kukkis'.
We all learned 'lolu' which means roll.
It was sweet to watch Y roll out the dough and use a cookie cutter seemingly for the first time.
We put them in the oven, iced them and then added the sprinkles.
Of course we tasted one or two!
Y was obviously surprised by how soft the cookies were and how sweet.
She told us 'I not make sweets' in Japan.
Well she did today!
I sent a little container home with her and she was sooo excited!
She said she had a Halloween party to go to on Friday!
We all had a fun time making kukkis!
