Yes, C is standing in our backyard with snow up that high on his legs.
This is after 3 days of above 0˚C.
We had the kids jump into the snow banks lining the driveway-
of course they had to pose and make faces.
We used the roof rake we bought my Dad for Christmas (just borrowing, Dad)
to take the burden of snow off the roof of the garage.
I could not get a good shot of the snow as it fell like a waterfall onto the driveway.
Two things amazed us:
1. the sound the snow made as it fell.
(we wondered if it was like how an avalanche would sound, only on a small scale)
2. how hard the snow became after it fell.
(we worked together to move it to the end of the driveway!)
Also, this is C's new Snow Scooter that we got him for Christmas.
It was 'too cold' to try it out until now.
Now we know it is super fun to ride on the hills around our yard.
Go...
...ing
down!
It was an amazingly nice evening to be outside.
I think it was around +3˚C.
One of my favorite parts of the evening was the few minutes that I was able to visit with,
and listen to, C as he talked about his day.
We just sat in the snow bank and he told me about his day.
Darn those mixed fractions!
Bring on the Talent Show, Dawg!
Yes to a haircut in exchange for a new yoyo.
we miss you Yuina!
He has a lot of great things to say and I need to remember to take the time,
even with everything going on,
to really listen to him.
I have really great kids!
PS. Elder Gibbs is moving on. Our family will miss him!
