little learners

So, as you may recall, last year at this time I blogged about my new calling as Sunbeam teacher. How excited I was. How sweet the children were. How happy I was to be teaching the 'littles.'
Then, my next post was about how I had spoken too soon. I was released the second Sunday of the year.

Well, guess what calling I have this year?!

Yep, Sunbeams teacher.

I didn't want to blog about it until I had passed the second week mark.
I have, and am excited to report that I am still teaching Sunbeams.
There are 12 names on my class list! Not all of them have been at church at the same time yet. I think when that happens they will give me a run for my money.

The first Sunday we had the same lesson that I taught last year! (of course...same manual!)

Last week we learned that we have a body just like Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We had cups with Joseph Smith praying in the Sacred Grove with a 'pop up' Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to show that he saw them and that they had bodies. They were so cute -cups and kids!

I told them what they could tell Mom and Dad that they learned.
"Mommy, Daddy, I have a body just like Heavenly Father and Jesus!"
Then we would practice saying it.
"Mommy, Daddy, I have a body just like Heavenly Father and Jesus!"

After church the little people were so excited to share!
I heard a few of them say exactly what we practiced!

One Mom came and thanked me. She said that her daughter had already told each member of the family that she had a body 'just like Heavenly Father and Jesus!'

What good little learners Sunbeams are!
