After a week of cloudy, snow days (and I do mean snow days)
we finally saw the sun tonight after school.
Tonight after shoveling the driveway for the 20th?
time I took these 2 pictures to document how high the snow really is.
Looking at them now I realize I need to put a kid in the shot so there is a comparison point.
There is a little snow on the roof too.
Doesn't it look pretty with the Christmas lights?!
The last two shots are for my parents.
We went to clean off their deck roof which was stressed under all of the snow.
Our family went with our shovels over the crazy roads to Gma and Gpa's house.
Uncle Scott and C were already there (he has a truck!) and the men shoveled.
(these are the only shots I took before the battery in the camera died.)
turn your head to the right for the first shot...
(We won't mention that the corner of the deck 'broke!')
This morning, I ventured out to take the girls to seminary at 7am and was never so glad to get home.
It was a nerve wracking block.
The roads were so bad that I called a coworker to pick me for up for school this am in his 4x4.
Poor H, she had to walk home. The snow was deep and rutted.
No in town or out of town buses running today, so we had a SNOW day!
Well H and C did.
The rest of us had to go!
I wonder what tomorrow will bring?
The forecast is for warmer temperatures but high winds.
That might mean my job partner may not be able to make it to town.
(I hope she can!)
Today no buses ran so there were only 20 students at Harry Balfour!
I had 10 of my 21 there today.
I am always amazed at which kids come.
(My theory is that it is the kids who drive their parents crazy!)
But not always!
I do love the snow for how clean everything looks and for the views outside my window!
Happy snow day adventures!
