Amazing how time passes... today we went out to the cemetery to visit Dev's mom's gravesite. She passed away March 8th, 18 years ago. Miriam was such an amazing woman. She had such a fun, friendly personality. She was full of faith and had a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She taught kindergarten for many years in the Catholic School District and was a great example and friend to everyone she came in contact with. She really was an amazing woman. None of our kids met her. But because they knew their Great Grandma Marie, Miriam's Mom, and because of stories that we have shared, they know about her.
I think in some ways M has the same sense of humour as Miriam did. Easy to laugh and find the good in different situations. H has her enthusiasm for all people, the gospel and church activities. The look that C has when he wants something reminds me of Miriam. I know that Dev misses his Mom terribly even now so many years later, and it makes me appreciate that my Mom is still with me... with our family.
