pass the kleenex

I have always wondered what it would be like to be able to do amazing things for others. Big Oprah-like things.
I was watching Oprah today when she changed lives. She had interviewed Celine Dion. After the interview was over Oprah had a group called the Canadian Tenors come out from their sound proof room presumably to 'perform' for the first time on the Oprah show. They all loved Celine Dion. They did not know she was there.

They were singing the song Hallelujah and it was beautiful. In the middle of the song the curtain opened and Celine walked onto the stage. One by one each member of the group saw her and the look on their faces was priceless. Can you imagine what they were thinking. So cool! What a moment for them! Of course, I cried.

I was able to have another moving musical experience today. M was singing at the new public library with her school choir. The acoustics were amazing. The music brought back memories for me of when I sang in the same choir so many years ago.
The sun was shining HOT through the windows and I cried.

My children have this uncanny ability to predict when I am about to cry. M shook her head and gave me the look, but too late. tears.

I think the spirit of the music is just so strong that it brings out my emotions.

I hope that I can help others. Not in big Oprah-like ways right now. Someday. But I hope I can make a difference, make others feel happy, special and loved.

I wonder if there will be tears?

(Please note... I had a beautiful post written and even published and then in modifying it after adding the pictures I deleted the entire thing. This is almost what I wrote before just not as good. Darn!)
